Interventions
Sometimes you have said all you can say. Sometimes you have done all you can do. Sometimes a person who is struggling with addiction needs a well planned, carefully structured process in which family members and friends let this person know in a loving but firm way that he or she needs to seek treatment to get better. If you are a family member or friend you may need to participate in an intervention so that you can concentrate on what it is you can do to make your life more manageable and stop focusing on the person struggling with a problem. Individuals struggling with addiction often cannot see the damage they are doing to themselves and those around them. The solution to this problem cannot come from the mind of the person controlled by drugs or alcohol. It has to come from an outside source. If you would like more information about the process of an intervention, please call me. I can help.
